COVID-19 presents a new host of challenges for children’s mental health in Oklahoma, but several policy opportunities offer hope for 2021.
HMPI Executive Director Zack Stoycoff presented to the Oklahoma State Legislature House Education Committee on Sept. 29, 2020, on the early projections of COVID-19’s children’s mental health crisis, and possible policy angles through which to alleviate the crisis. The interim study by Rep. Sherrie Conley focused on Adverse Childhood Experiences and classroom behavior management.
