
Sheri Jewell-Fleming is a mental health policy fellow at Healthy Minds, using her extensive behavioral health experience to strengthen educational and behavioral health systems in Oklahoma.
With over 25 years as an educator and behavioral health professional, Sheri brings expertise in evidence-based practices, workforce training, and program development.
Before joining Healthy Minds, Sheri served as director of student development at the Center of Family Love, where she developed academic programming, instructional systems, and transition-focused supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She previously served as program manager for Prevention and Intervention services at the Oklahoma State Department of Education, overseeing statewide strategies related to crisis prevention, intervention, behavioral health supports, and cross-sector collaboration with schools, agencies, and community partners.
Sheri has served as a professor of psychology across undergraduate and graduate programs, where she developed and taught courses grounded in behavioral science, psychological theory, and applied human development. Her academic work also included mentoring students in research-based learning, professional skill development, and the application of psychological concepts to real-world settings, enhancing workforce development, and strengthening pathways that support long-term community wellbeing.
Originally from California, Sheri holds a master’s degree in behavioral science in psychology from Cameron University and a doctor of psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from California Southern University.
