Kelly Roberts is a policy analyst at Healthy Minds. As a fifth-generation Oklahoman with 30 years of experience in education, research, and practice, Kelly is deeply invested in improving the wellbeing of her home state.

While serving in a variety of leadership roles, Kelly fostered diverse collaborative partnerships, convening teams and working with stakeholder groups to pass legislative initiatives and agency rules to strengthen the state’s family and mental health policy landscape.

Kelly has written over $35 million in successful federal grants for human sciences research, social services programs, agency and tribal public health initiatives, and clinical interventions. She has also provided technical assistance for federal service delivery systems, served as an advisor to tribal programs, and has a rich background in both qualitative and quantitative research for local, national and international projects. Today, she continues to serve as a research and evaluative consultant for tribal projects.

Before coming to Healthy Minds in 2025, she helped grow a graduate-level training program at Oklahoma Christian University that now produces excellent behavioral health therapists — one of her proudest professional achievements.

She holds a bachelor's degree in communications education from the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as a master's degree in marriage and family therapy and a Ph.D. in human sciences specializing in family policy, both from Oklahoma State University.
