Audra Brulc is a community initiatives coordinator at Healthy Minds, powering some of Healthy Minds’ most impactful behavioral health projects in Tulsa.
In her role, Audra works closely with Tulsa Public Schools on the district’s strategic planning for a multi-tiered system of supports, a framework that ensures students have access to the right levels of mental health care depending on their needs. She supported the district’s successful application for a $9 million federal Project AWARE grant to fund mental health programming in schools, and she is active in the grant’s implementation.
Audra has played a key role in Healthy Minds’ efforts to address a crisis of methamphetamine-related overdose deaths, including reconvening Tulsa’s Methamphetamine Treatment Continuum Steering Committee, a collaborative group of treatment providers and community partners who strategize around treatment for meth use and overdose prevention. She also facilitates the Tulsa First Responders Advisory Committee, a working group focused on aligning and strengthening the city’s crisis response system.
In 2023, Audra was among 30 professionals selected for the inaugural Young Innovators in Behavioral Health Awards, a national award which honors recipients’ contributions to the mental health field.
Audra joined Healthy Minds full time in 2022 after completing a one-year followship with the organization. Before Healthy Minds, she worked as a grant writer and consultant for clients across a variety of sectors, including health care, animal welfare, and education. She also spent time working in universities as a research fellow and marketing specialist with a focus on supporting and promoting international education.
She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in international studies from the University of Oklahoma.
