Amy Hendrix-Dicken is the vice president of research and insights at Healthy Minds, where she leads the organization’s research endeavors with special focus on data governance, project design, and population analyses. Amy is passionate about bridging the gap between Oklahomans’ lived experiences and access to services rooted in community health data.

Before joining Healthy Minds, Amy spent over eight years with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. In her role, she managed various projects around child maltreatment, child health and behaviors, and social determinants of health while teaching research methodologies to medical trainees.

Amy has published research and presented nationally and internationally on topics that include child welfare, Indigenous representation in research, adverse childhood experiences, and the effects of secondary stress in helping professionals.

Amy is a lifelong Oklahoman and citizen of the Cherokee Nation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Rogers State University, a master’s degree in English literature from Northeastern State University, and a Ph.D. in organizational and community leadership from the University of Oklahoma.
