In January 2021, Healthy Minds Policy Initiative releases the second in a multi-part policy research series exploring the state of Oklahoma’s behavioral health workforce, its greatest needs, and areas of action and recommendations.
Initial findings detail needs in specific behavioral health professions and geographic areas, but suggest that taking advantage of Oklahoma’s relatively-abundant supply of primary care physicians to increase mental health care access could be part of an overall solution.
Future releases will detail suggested COVID-19 and Medicaid expansion considerations.
